According to Chief Administrative officer Ratnakar Shetty of the BCCI, there has been no official communication with the Sri Lankan Cricket board in this regard.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, has stepped in to tour Pakistan. But The Sri Lankan Board is not confirmed about their tour to Pakistan. Sri Lankan Cricket board is planning to split the series into two Phases one for one day and other for the Test matches. The Audiences From Pakistan are waiting the cricket series for a long time restlessly so I personally think the the Sri Lankan Should make their commitment and should visit Pakistan for a memorable cricket Series.
Meanwhile, the indian board has written to New Zealand Cricket to add one more Test to the Indian team's tour in March and April after the tour to Pakistan was cancelled. However, a confirmation on that too is awaited.
